Nhora Gómez-Saxon 

In her own words, she says "I was born in the Andes surrounded by coffee plantations and grew up as a cowgirl in the plains of Colombia."

 

She studied journalism at the Universidad de la Sabana in Bogota and worked as a television, newspaper and magazine reporter before moving to Charlotte to work for NBC. She joined CMS in 1997 and received her teaching certificate from Queens University. She earned a master's degree from the University of Granada and is a National Board-certified teacher.
